EGYPTIAN COTTON SHEET CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Machine wash on the lowest agitation setting and at the "warm water" setting; 104 degrees or less. And, set the "extra rinse cycle" if available. Do not mix your cotton bed sheets with polyester products when loading them into the washing machine in that polyester fabric has the tendency to "pill" and shed the same pills on to the cotton fabric.

• Preferably use non-alkali detergent at half of the manufacturer's recommended rate. Avoid the use of bleach if possible in that bleach will reduce the useful life of your bed sheets.

• Set your dryer to "permanent press" if available. Tumble dry until dry only. Immediately remove your bed sheets from the dryer and place them on your bed or fold them for storage. Do not "over dry" your bed sheets and do not leave them in the dryer after the drying cycle is complete. If wrinkles have set-in, then place a damp wash cloth in the dryer with the bed sheets and tumble for 5 minutes.
  Preferably, if the option is available, hang dry your bed sheets as opposed to the machine drying method.

• Change and wash bed sheets about once per week and more often as needed in hot or humid climates.

• Pillow cases will wear more quickly than the accompanying bed sheets. Change and wash pillow cases about twice per week and more often as needed in hot or humid climates. One extra set of pillow cases per bed sheet set is advised.
