SILK COMFORTER CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Removable duvet covers should be used to keep your silk comforter clean and protected. The duvet can be color coordinated to your bedroom and can serve as a bedspread, blanket, or a top sheet.
  Most importantly, a duvet cover will preserve your comforter so that frequent cleanings are unnecessary. When properly covered, silk comforters should almost never require cleaning.

• If the comforter acquires a "spot", then consider using a silk fabric spot remover. Silk fabric spot removers are available on the internet for reasonable prices.

• Periodically "air-out" your silk comforter by suspending it within direct sun light. Airing-out of your comforter should be conducted about once or twice per year.

• If the comforter does require cleaning, keep in mind that silk comforters are always to be DRY CLEANED only, due to the delicate nature of mulberry silk floss filling.

• B.Home Bedding does not recommend machine washing of mulberry silk floss filled comforters. Although, if you choose not to "dry clean", then hand washing in cold water with a follow-up "drip dry" is preferred over the machine washing method. If you are intent to machine wash, then set the machine to it's lowest agitation setting and follow the cleaning with a "drip dry".
